Join our team at Qblox, we are on the lookout for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer!


At Qblox we develop high-tech control stacks for quantum computers, pivotal in generating the precise analogue signals necessary for the control and readout of quantum bits within quantum computing and networking environments.


As a Sr. Mechanical Engineer in our R&D team, you dive into the challenges we face, investigate the root causes, think of concepts, discuss them, and design the right solution. You make sure that the mechanical design integrates successfully in the overall system, resulting in a product that meets the requirements. You are experienced and a very capable user of CAD design tools, mechanical analysis and familiar with design and development principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and optimizing innovative mechanical solutions
  • Providing detailed design in CAD of mechanical assemblies and parts
  • Experience at both system-level and detailed engineering product development
  • Analysis and simulation of design problems (mechanical, thermal, etc.)
  • Design verification, prototyping and testing
  • Requirements formulation and technical documentation

Job requirements

Enough about us, what about you?

To really enjoy this role, we expect you will have the following background:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in mechatronics / mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • At least 5+ years of experience in product development in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in 3D CAD software (Autodesk)
  • Experienced with creating technical 2D drawings
  • Experience with tolerance analysis
  • Experience in mechanical/thermal/electrical analysis and simulation
  • Ability to document things in a structured way
  • Your English is at a full professional proficiency level, both spoken and written.
  • You are a highly motivated team player, have a creative “can do” mentality
