What will you do?

Your mission

As a Sales Engineer at Qblox, you will be responsible for the full sales cycle, from lead generation to closing deals. You will establish and grow relationships with customers in academia and industry, drive market expansion, and ensure smooth collaboration across teams.
Key Responsibilities

  1. Full Opportunity Management & Sales Execution

    • Develop tailored sales strategies for academic institutions, research labs, and commercial partners.

    • Identify and prioritize high-potential prospects in academia, government, and commercial quantum computing sectors and develp and maintain consistent engagement with prospects through calls, emails, meetings, and tailored presentations.

    • Own the entire sales process, from identifying opportunities to contract negotiation, and closing deals.

    • Maintain consistent engagement with prospects through calls, meetings, and tailored presentations.

    • Lead and manage tender processes, including preparing documentation, coordinating responses, and ensuring compliance.

  2. Business Development & Relationship Management

    • Build and manage strong relationships with existing and new customers in the quantum ecosystem.

    • Perform market research and actively drive lead generation through cold emailing, calling, and networking.

    • Represent Qblox at conferences and customer visits worldwide to showcase solutions and strengthen partnerships.

  3. Cross-Team Collaboration

    • Work with the production team to ensure smooth delivery of products.

    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials, app notes, website content, and outreach campaigns.

    • Ensure smooth handover to support teams for deployment and post-sales support.

    • Provide market insights and customer feedback to hardware and software teams to enhance the user experience.

  4. Data Management & Reporting

    • Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems and track key sales metrics.

    • Regularly report on pipeline development, deal progress, and order intake forecasts.


Job requirements

  1. Education:

    Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field. A background in quantum technology is a plus.

  2. Experience:

    • Proven B2B sales experience in high-tech or scientific industries.

    • Familiarity with tender processes and ability to navigate procurement in academic and government institutions.

    • Strong track record of managing the full sales cycle, including lead generation, negotiation and closing deals.

  3. Skills:

    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with both technical and business audiences.

    • Ability to independently drive sales while coordinating with internal teams.

For this role, we are looking for a scientist with:

  • An MSc in physics/engineering with a technical background and/or experimental research in quantum technology

  • Good communication skills

  • A drive to learn a variety of disciplines in quantum technology

  • Affinity with sales and marketing (experience is a pro)

  • Charismatic, enthusiastic, outgoing

  • Fluency in Professional English
