
What will you do?
We are seeking a highly motivated intern with a strong technical background in quantum computing and a solid understanding of the research landscape in North America. The goal of the internship is to build and refine Qblox’s internal database of potential quantum computing clients across the U.S.—including universities, startups, national labs, and industry R&D efforts.
This is not a sales position; rather, it’s a strategic research role supporting our business development and outreach efforts. The intern will work directly with the North American leadership team to map out the quantum ecosystem, identify key contacts, and organize data in a clear, actionable format.
Responsibilities:
Conduct technical and institutional research on U.S.-based quantum computing efforts
Identify key research groups, PIs, startups, and companies working on quantum hardware
Compile, verify, and organize information into Qblox’s internal CRM system
Help strategize outreach efforts based on technical focus and engagement potential
Collaborate with team members across North America and at our HQ in the Netherlands
Job requirements
Who You Are:
Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field
Familiar with the quantum computing landscape and major research players in North America
Self-driven, proactive, and organized
Comfortable working independently and handling ambiguity
Strong written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CRMs (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
Background in experimental quantum computing or quantum control

Our first interview is a 30-minute online meeting with our talent acquisition partner. It's your chance to share your background and reasons for applying while asking initial questions about Qblox.

Step 2 | In depth interview
This 60–90 minute online session with your future team lead explores your experience and potential fit with Qblox. For technical roles, a coding assignment may also be part of this step.

Step 3 | The Floor is Yours
In the final stage, we invite you (preferably onsite) to meet the team and present why you’re the right fit for the role. Bring your unique touch, surprise us!

Step 4 | We want You!
Congratulations, you made it! After reference checks, we’ll send an offer, followed by an electronic employment contract and onboarding steps. Welcome aboard!
