Qblox is seeking a talented Quantum Application Engineer with a strong background in Spin Qubits to join our innovative team. At Qblox, we specialize in delivering cutting-edge scalable quantum control stacks, powering the analog signals crucial for controlling and reading all quantum systems.


As a Quantum Application Engineer at Qblox, you will play a central role in bridging the gap between instrument developers, software engineers, and customer support. Your responsibilities will focus on enhancing current designs and anticipating future user needs, ensuring seamless experiment development for our customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Libraries: Create and test libraries for spin qubits users in our in-house laboratory, simplifying the user journey and ensuring reliability.
  • Design and Build: Collaborate closely with software and hardware teams to design and build the application layer, integrating and enhancing functionalities for the control stack.
  • Educational Resources: Develop compelling examples and tutorials for quantum computing experiments, including quantum computing classes and next gen instrument’s documentation.
  • Innovative Solutions: Provide ingenious technical solutions to unmet needs, collaborating with various teams to add new features to the Qblox catalog.
  • Testing and Feedback: Conduct thorough testing of our software and equipment, offering valuable feedback to developers for performance improvements.
  • Customer Support: Offer second-level support during customer demonstrations, leveraging your expertise in the quantum domain and our advanced equipment.

To really enjoy this role, we expect that you will have the following experience:

  • Educational Background: Ph.D. in Physics with a focus on experimental research in quantum technology, especially in quantum dot spin qubits.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English communication skills, capable of conveying complex quantum concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Practical Expertise: A hands-on mentality with a proven track record in making experimental setups work, particularly with RF signals.
  • Programming Proficiency: Skilled in programming with Python.
  • Passion for Learning and Sharing: A genuine enthusiasm for learning, sharing knowledge, and thoughtful problem-solving.g about new smart solutions.
