Where you come in:
As our Scientific Business Developer for the EMEA region, you'll be at the sharp end of the quantum industry, continuously identifying new sales opportunities and forging long-lasting relationships primarily with academic customers (universities and research centers). We're looking for someone with a proactive, results-driven mindset, eager to explore and expand our market presence in a rapidly evolving field. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of technology by empowering world-class research with Qblox's cutting-edge control stack.
What you'll do:
Discover & Nurture: Continuously identify and pursue new sales opportunities, building strong, lasting relationships with both prospective and existing academic customers.
Translate & Empower: Be the bridge, deeply understanding customer needs in the academic sector and translating how Qblox's value proposition and products can solve their unique challenges.
Own the Cycle: Manage the entire sales journey, from initial proactive outreach and lead generation through deal closure and fostering repeat partnerships.
Collaborate & Inform: Act as the vital link between our customers and our internal experts—including application scientists, product managers, and marketing—ensuring seamless transitions and informed solutions.
Strategise & Achieve: Develop precise business plans to hit and exceed ambitious annual sales targets, directly fueling Qblox's rapid growth.
Optimise & Share: Drive best practices and share your knowledge across the broader sales team, ensuring our approach is scalable and sustainable.

To truly excel and lead the charge in this role, we envision you'll have the following skills and experience:
The Non-Negotiables:
Fluent English: Impeccable verbal and written communication in English is essential for engaging EMEA customers.
Customer Discovery Pro: You know how to ask the right questions, listen, and truly understand customer needs and their unique academic environments. You proactively try to understand your audience.
Tech Affinity: High technical literacy and experience in deep-tech sales / a background in engineering
Proven Sales Record: 5+ years of success in growth-oriented sales, with a strong focus on new business expansion in complex technical sales or solution/consultative selling.
Other things that will help you really enjoy the role:
Knowledge of the quantum computing industry!
Experience in consulting work is always a nice bonus - a proven ability to analyse and solve problems for clients.

Step 1 | Getting to know you
Our first interview is a 30-minute online meeting with our talent acquisition partner. It's your chance to share your background and reasons for applying while asking initial questions about Qblox.

Step 2 | In depth interview
This 60–90 minute online session with your future team lead explores your experience and potential fit with Qblox. For technical roles, a coding assignment may also be part of this step.

Step 3 | The Floor is Yours
In the final stage, we invite you (preferably onsite) to meet the team and present why you’re the right fit for the role. Bring your unique touch, surprise us!

Step 4 | We want You!
Congratulations, you made it! After reference checks, we’ll send an offer, followed by an electronic employment contract and onboarding steps. Welcome aboard!
