Quantum computers are complicated. Our roadmap shouldn't be. Help us turn the 'known unknowns' of Quantum R&D into a finished product.

What will you do?

At Qblox, we are operating at the frontier of the quantum revolution. Our team of 100+ scientists and engineers is pushing the boundaries of physics to build scalable, low-latency qubit control equipment—the "brain" of the quantum computer.

We are currently architecting a generational leap in qubit control density and performance. As we scale toward 1,000+ qubits and beyond, the complexity of our hardware, firmware, and software isn't just growing—it’s accelerating. We aren’t just looking for a scheduler; we need a Project Leader who can act as the connective tissue between deep-tech domain experts, ensuring that cutting-edge RF R&D and silicon-level innovation translate into industrial-scale products.

The Role

As a Project Manager within a program, you are responsible for the successful execution of hardware-centric development cycles. You will navigate the high-precision world of RF and analog hardware, managing everything from complex PCB layouts to the high-stakes world of ASIC development.

Operating within a larger solutions framework, you will coordinate a web of internal R&D teams and external manufacturing partners. Your job is to enable our scientists to focus on innovation while you ensure the roadmap remains realistic, synchronized, and moving at velocity.

In a typical week, you will:

  • Orchestrate the Symphony: Lead project scrum cycles and manage Jira boards across hardware and firmware domains. You will be the primary point of coordination for teams contributing to the program goals, ensuring that a delay in an analog front-end doesn't blindside the digital integration team.

  • Master the Hardware Lifecycle: Manage the critical path for PCB design, prototyping, and validation. You will interface with external fab houses and subcontractors, holding them accountable to the rigorous standards required for quantum-grade equipment.

  • Be the "Truth" Holder: Maintain product and technical requirements as the ultimate project "truth." Whether it’s signal integrity specs or thermal constraints, you ensure the team is building toward a unified vision.

  • Bridge the Silos: Proactively identify where the process is breaking down—be it a cross-domain communication lag between ASIC designers and embedded software engineers or a "known unknown" risk in the supply chain.

  • Manage Strategic Partnerships: Act as the primary lead for external contributors. You’ll work closely with the Program Manager to adapt deliverables, manage tape-out schedules, and ensure external IP integrates seamlessly with internal development.

Job requirements

Enough about us—what about you? To thrive in this role, you should possess a rare blend of technical depth and organizational mastery.

  • The Engineering Mindset: You hold a degree in STEM (Electrical Engineering, Physics, or similar). You have a first-principles approach to problem-solving and aren’t intimidated by RF, analog design, or high-speed digital electronics.

  • Hardware Delivery Pedigree: You have 4+ years of experience managing complex technical projects. PCB-level development experience is a must. You understand the iterative nature of hardware—from schematic capture to bring-up.

  • ASIC/SoC Familiarity: Highly preferred is experience managing ASIC development cycles. You understand the stakes of a tape-out and the meticulous verification required before hitting "send" to the foundry.

  • Tool Mastery: You know Jira and Confluence inside and out. You don't just use these tools to track tasks; you use them to drive accountability, visualize bottlenecks, and provide clarity to stakeholders.

  • Radical Transparency: You communicate openly and often. You aren’t afraid to convey bad news early (e.g., a component lead-time shift) or ask the "stupid" questions that unblock a team of PhDs.

  • Extreme Ownership: You take ownership of failures as learning opportunities and are the first to praise the team for success. You thrive in the "grey area" where the path forward isn't always documented.
