Qblox, a global leader in quantum computing control stack technology, is seeking a talented and experienced General Manager to build and lead our team in North America as we expand our operations into the region.


The GM North America will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our operations within the United States and Canada, including but not limited to sales, marketing, operations, finance, human resources, and customer relations. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the local market dynamics. In this role, you will be the primary voice and ambassador of our North America business. We're seeking an experienced leader to guide our team through the ambitious goal of doubling our order intake every 12 months. With your leadership, innovation, and business acumen, together, we'll redefine what's possible in the realm of quantum computing.


Role description and responsibilities

As the General Manager for North America at Qblox, you'll play a pivotal role in embodying our commitment to understanding our customers and the dynamics of the market in the region. In this leadership role you will have a diverse pallet of responsibilities which is including but not limited to:


  • Develop and execute  a comprehensive business strategy tailored to drive growth and achieve financial targets in the region;
  • Your role extends beyond mere management; you'll be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities and market trends, recommending strategies to capitalize on them, and constantly monitoring and analyzing market conditions, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt the company's strategy accordingly;
  • You will manage the Profit & Loss for the region, your focus will be on ensuring growth whilst incorporating profitability and cost efficiency. You implement effective sales and marketing initiatives in close alignment with headquarters to increase brand awareness and market share. You will represent Qblox as a senior business leader at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, your presence will not only showcase our innovation but also solidify our position as a market leader;

  • You will develop, lead and motivate a diverse team of professionals across various functions—sales, marketing, operations, HR and finance—you'll ensure alignment with company objectives;

  • As a mentor and manager, you'll cultivate a high-performing sales team, defining performance metrics, providing ongoing guidance, and facilitating deal negotiations to empower your team to deliver exceptional results;

  • Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and retention. Working closely with the operations team at headquarters your team will take care of all local contract management, ensure timely deliveries of supply from headquarters and ensure successful customer onboarding and customer loyalty. Your team reinforces Qblox's reputation for excellence and customer-centricity in the region;

  • Collaboration with internal stakeholders is key to your success. By aligning closely with the teams at head office in Delft, you'll ensure seamless integration of sales strategies with overall business objectives.

Job requirements

Experience, knowledge & skills

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a technical field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Proven track record of at least 10 years of successful experience in a senior management role, preferably as a Country Manager or General Manager.

  • Deep understanding of the North American market dynamics, including customer needs & competitive landscape. Experience and affinity with Quantum Technology is preferred. analytical skills to interpret market data and make informed decisions.

  • Proven track-record in successfully managing sales forecast, pipeline & service organization.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute business plans to achieve company objectives. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving sales growth and profitability. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Preferred:

  • Fluency in English and knowledge of local market and regulatory requirements are highly desirable.
