You can’t build scalable quantum computers in a day! Our Project Managers proactively plan, estimate, and sequence logical units of work to ensure project success from ideation through execution.

What will you do?

Are you a Project Manager who would like to accelerate the development of industrial scale quantum computers? We can give you the opportunity to work on tomorrow's technology in a friendly and flexible working environment (as well as from home!).

At Qblox, our Project Managers are responsible for the successful execution of hardware, firmware, and software development projects. Operating as part of a larger solutions program you will work with a team of R&D domain experts to establish and manage deadlines, define attackable units of work, and ensure cross-domain communications.  Reporting to a Program Manager, the role will also work with our Partners & Roadmap teams on tracking grant proposals and externally reporting on project progress and controls.

As a company going through rapid expansion, there is lots of opportunity here to lead projects, develop in your role and progress in different directions. If you have 4+ years of project management experience, even better with some hardware development exposure, we'd like to have the chance to show you what it's like to work at Qblox.

You know this already, but your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Manage the project team resources assigned to the project to deliver success on time and on budget.
  2. Work with the program manager and other project team members to identify relevant project deliverables, adding or removing as is necessary for project success.
  3. Proactively work with project team members to plan, estimate, and sequence logical units of work inside of the Qblox Product Lifecycle Management system. Finding logical divisions of work inside domain functions.
  4. Constantly maintain product and technical requirements as the “truths” of the project.
  5. Help identify risks, known unknowns, and develop risk mitigation strategies during the project cycle.
  6. Operate on a project scrum cycle, target effective resource utilization and minimize blocking interdependencies.
  7. Manage Jira boards, confluence spaces, slack channels and other communication and documentation tools as related to the project.
  8. Communicate openly and often, do not be afraid to ask questions, do not be afraid to convey bad (or good) news, always target first principles thinking.
  9. A self-starter and active contributor to moving the project forward, find the gaps and fill the gaps to allow work to proceed.
  10. Accurately report on the status of the project, resource effectiveness, resources utilization, to the program and executive levels.

Measures of success:

  1. Delivery of projects according to schedule and budget.
  2. Internal customer feedback, multiplier effect on domain work performance.
  3. Accuracy of project reporting.
  4. External customer feedback, net promoter score on products.
